RULES & REGULATION TO PARTICIPATE

Please read and be sure you understand thoroughly the Rules and Regulation for participating in this competition.

ART COMPETITION RULES

The following are the rules for entering the International Yoga Day Online Painting Competition on Theme 'Yoga- The Art and Science of Living'. It is important to read the rules and procedures before submitting work to us. Please follow the theme of each competition. This is a critical. If you have questions regarding the theme and its interpretation, contact us at kalakritisoa@gmail.com. We will help you with the submission process.

Entries must follow competition theme.
Competition is open to all students from Class 1 Onwards
Competition is international.
Files must be in JPG format.
Files may not exceed 2MB.
No art previously submitted on the any competition
Experimental and mixed techniques are welcome.
Digital Art that is a derivative work, created from another original artwork, must be significantly different as to constitute a new original work. The gallery reserves the right to request a copy of the original artwork if copyright infringement is suspected.
One participant can submit only one entry.

GROUPS:

Group A : Class 1 to 4
Group B : Class 5 to 8
Group C : Class 9 to 12
Group D : Graduation Part 1 Onwards

Colour to be used and Paper Size:

Any colour medium to be used for painting
Only A3 or 12x 18 Size paper should be used.

THE CONTEST ENTRY MUST NOT:

Contain content, material or any element that is unlawful, or otherwise in violation of, or contrary to, all applicable national, state, or local, laws and regulations.

Use any content, material or element that is owned by a third party or entity or that violates a third party's publicity, privacy or intellectual property rights.

In case of any fraud or mischief found on the part of the entrant, he/she will be deemed to be disqualified from this Contest.

AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS:

All participants will get participants certificate.
Ten winning artists will be selected for the Overall Category, chosen from the different groups.
Each group will have a first, second, third, fourth and fifth place as well as five honorable mention awards.
And 5 consolation prizes each group.
There will be Special Recognition awards for each group.
Kalakriti Students are not eligible for any Scholarship

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:

The online painting competition ('Yoga- The Art and Science of Living'") is open to all children around the world who have completed the age of 4 years and above. The Contest begins on 15th September 2019 and the closing date for receipt of entries will be 30th June 2019 midnight (IST) ("Contest Period"). All dates are subject to change.

HOW TO ENTER:

IMAGE PREPARATION:

Prepare your images before beginning the submission process. Submissions are only accepted via the kalakriti School of Arts online process.

Digital image files must meet the following specifications:

JPG files only
Largest width dimension is 10 inches (The height does not matter).
JPG compression quality of 12 (or the highest quality setting)
Do not send images of your artwork, which have been framed or contain watermarks.
Here are two sources to resize your images resizeimage.net and webresizer.com.
We may color correct your images in order to enhance the overall presentation. We may crop your images for formatting purposes for use in the Next Gen Carousel, Next Gen Slide Show, Event Catalogue, other off-site slide shows, YouTube presentations, other presentations and for other areas of the website if your images are chosen.

LABELING GUIDELINES FOR IMAGE * PAINTING :

We only need the title of the image. Please fill out the entire form and load before sending the upload.
Image name may not exceed 50 characters.
Painting File name must be your name and group name e.g. John and Group is A Then John_GroupA_painting.
Photograph File name must be your name and group name e.g. John and Group is A Then John_GroupA.

ACCEPTANCE NOTIFICATION:

Every artist whose artwork is chosen for that Competition will receive an email notification. All other art competition participants will receive an email notifying them that their artwork was not selected, along with the results of that art competition.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:

The artwork submitted to our competitions will be judged based on the following elements of artistic expression:

Interpretation and the clarity of the theme to the viewer.
Creativity and originality of the depicted theme.
Quality of artistic composition and overall design based on the theme.
Overall impression of the art. What is the effect of the artwork in general and as a whole? Overall, does the artwork stand on its own as a complete and outstanding work of art?

JUROR:

The Juror of the art competition will be Mr. Dhananjay Kumar eminent artist and founder of Kalakriti Art Foundation and he may be assisted by other art professionals when they are available.
